This product helped me quickly fix a large chip on a diy night stand. While routing a v-groove on the bottom apron of an oak night stand, I slipped and ended up chipping a 2 inch portion. My first attempt to repair was with wood filler and you can see how badly that turned out. I was waiting to receive this CA glue, hoping to salvage the area left of where I applied wood filler. Stain and wood filler were not a good combo in this case.The CA glue worked extremely well. The hole is still visible but 100% improved. I realize a before picture would have helped make the point, but my intent after the wood filler fiasco, was to scrap the entire front apron and do it over. Now, I intend to scrape away the wood filler, cut a small piece of oak to match and use this CA glue to adhere it to the apron.I can also see this product simplifying corrections on epoxy resin cutting boards, particular holes caused by wood knots running through the entire board.The product is simple to apply and controlling the amount of glue released is not a problem. You receive an extra cap and some smaller application tubes with the product. I suspect this amount of CA glue to last a while, but at that point I will become a repeat customer.
I have had two tricky fixes for a while now. I have tried several other glues, but none held fast - even some prominent name brands. I held the piece in place for 30 seconds with this glue, and it held like a champ!
Super glue has this thing where you're always needing it in weird places, and the fact that this one comes with little applicator tubes is super helpful. Depending on what you're using it for, thin or thick will have different implications for ease of use, so keep that in mind. Either way, it's a pretty good cyanoacrylate and does the job
I use this thin , along with baking soda for repairing loose chair rungs. The baking soda ca mix hardens like a rock. The thin glue gets right in tight spots and locks the rung in place. The baking soda mix fills wider gaps. I am pleased with glue , and the extra tips are a nice addition. If you don'ts your glue often, I store mine in a container with rice. The rice keeps the container free from moisture and the glue seems to last longer.
