The gun controls delivery; it does not determine whether a particular foam is suitable for a window, door, roof, wall, HVAC opening or other assembly. Choose the foam according to its label, expansion level, substrate limitations and applicable building requirements.

Spray Foam Can Compatibility

A connection that feels cross-threaded, loose or unusually resistant should not be tightened by force. Remove the can safely and recheck the valve and thread specification.

Flow Control and Application Setup

1. Read the foam can label and safety data before setup. Work in a ventilated area with the protective equipment specified for the foam.
2. Inspect the gun adapter, barrel, trigger and nozzle. Do not use damaged equipment.
3. Close the rear flow-control knob before attaching the compatible canister.
4. Thread the can onto the adapter without forcing it, then adjust the control gradually.
5. Test a small bead on scrap material or an inconspicuous area before starting the main application.
6. Apply controlled passes and allow for the expansion and curing behavior stated by the foam manufacturer.

More trigger pressure or a wider valve setting can increase output, but the correct setting depends on the foam, temperature, joint size and required bead. Begin conservatively and adjust after the test bead.

Cleaning and Reuse

Polyurethane residue is easier to remove while it is still uncured. When the job is complete, follow the can and gun instructions for safe removal or short-term storage. If cleaning is required, use a compatible IXIRPRO Spray Foam Gun Cleaner before residue hardens.

• Keep the valve directed away from your face and body during connection or removal.
• Do not scrape seals or force cured material through the barrel.
• Wipe fresh exterior residue with a compatible cleaner after testing material compatibility.
• Store the cleaned gun dry and protect the adapter and nozzle from contamination.

Leaving a partially used can attached is not a universal storage rule. Follow the instructions for the exact canister and close the gun's control valve fully if that storage method is permitted.

Construction and Pack Options

The current IXIRPRO product configuration includes a metal body, PTFE-coated interior and exterior surfaces, a metal nozzle assembly, a spring trigger, a lock valve and an adjustable rear control knob. Pack options shown on the product page include 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12 and 20 guns, subject to current availability.

The coating is intended to make maintenance easier, but it does not make the tool immune to cured foam or remove the need for prompt cleaning.

Safety and Use Limits

The gun is an applicator; the principal chemical hazards come from the polyurethane foam and any cleaner attached to it. Review the relevant labels and safety data, provide ventilation and wear the specified gloves, eye protection, protective clothing and respiratory protection where required.

• Keep pressurized and flammable products away from heat, sparks and open flames.
• Do not point the gun toward people or animals.
• Do not use an unverified adapter or modify the can valve.
• Do not assume cured foam is suitable as a firestop, structural repair or waterproofing system unless the selected product is approved for that exact use.
